New York City Music Photographer Todd Owyoung

My name is Todd Owyoung, and I love the rock show. I’m an internationally published photographer specializing in live music, lifestyle and portrait photography. I'm based in New York City.

I created in 2007 to share my love of music photography. Over the last decade, I have shared as much as I can on music photography, from getting started, to choosing the right gear, to live music coverage of the gigs I photograph. This site features over 1,000 posts and it's my sincere wish that some of what I've shared helps you with your photography.

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis magna cum laude with a BFA in Visual Communications. I drink tea everyday.

My clients range from bands and festivals to magazines, lifestyle brands and ad agencies. I was named #3 ” Greatest Music Photographers Right Now” by Complex Magazine.

I am extremely proud to be a Nikon Ambassador for Nikon USA.

My work has appeared in publications such as Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Q Magazine, SPIN, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Alternative Press, The Wallstreet Journal, The Boston Globe, The Village Voice and Harper’s Bazaar.

Clients include American Express, Wrangler Jeans, Atlantic Records, Universal Music Group, Live Nation, Clear Channel, iHeartRadio, Red Bull, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, JH Audio, Fuse TV, Jason Aldean, Dave Matthews Band, and Slayer.
